By the time the child reaches the age of 5 they should be firmly within their ELG (Early Learning Goal)

These are by no means RULES for children to follow. The ages and stages in the Development Matters is only a guide and children learn at different paces, which is why the ages in the book overlap to allow for this.

We have to remember that children are a blank canvas and haven’t read the latest baby guide or rule book, they simply respond to their needs, surroundings, influences, care received and are a product of that. So positive influence, boundaries, discipline and learning experiences helps them develop into a happy, healthy, productive person.

I can deliver FEE government funded placements. This is free at point of delivery early education for 2,3 and 4 year olds, based on a core offer of 570 hours FREE over no less than 38 weeks. The offer is for 15 hours childcare per week during term time between the hours of 7.30am to 6pm. The session can be no more than 10 hours per day.  If parents need wrap around care as well, this comes at the standard cost of £5.50 per hour. You will need to provide your child with snack and lunch when in my care.

I communicate with parents  during work hours via Whatsapp/telephone whilst the child is in my care. I will update you on thire day on collection unless it is busy, in which case anything you need informing of will be done via WA. I can send you pictures of your child as they go about their day. I find many parents and carers like this. Parents are given a I CAN sheet to tell me what they know their child can or cannot do and if they think the child needs additional support with anything.  I do a baseline assesment when your child starts with me so i can get an idea of their develpoment stage and where to work forwards from.
